YouTube turns into eight, dealing more than 100 hours of upload per minute

Today World’s largest online video service, YouTube celebrating its 8th birthday. YouTube is founded in May 2005 by a group of former PayPal employees, after in late 2006 Google acquired YouTube for $1.65 billion.

YouTube today revealed their new statistics, over a hundred hours of videos are uploading to YouTube per minute, which is equivalent to four years of videos in sixty seconds and YouTube have a one billion visitors per month.

YouTube is ranked 3 in Alexa, and it showing a steady growth every year, on 2012 it was 72 hours of video per minute and in 2011 it was 48 hours of video per minute.

This year YouTube started paid subscription channels, it opens a new platform for monetization and brings more quality channels into YouTube, we can able to see quality TV shows in YouTube without advisements in near future.
